My main research areas are related to soil contamination by Potentially Toxic Elements and microplastics, both on agricultural soils and SUITMAs (urban, industrial and military soils), with several techniques from pollutant identification remediation to the assessment of contamination on soil organisms through ecotoxicological techniques. Related to microplastics, my experience is mainly related to their impact on soil fauna and soil properties.

PRIORITY stands for ‘Plastics monitoRIng detectiOn RemedIaTion recoverY’. PRIORITY is a science and technology research network focused on developing, implementing, and consolidating strategies to tackle the global challenges of micro- and nanoplastics in the environment.
