Andy Booth is an environmental chemist with significant experience in developing analytical approaches and studying the fate and effects of contaminants such as micro- and nanoplastic, nanomaterials, persistent organic pollutants (POPs), crude oil and other emerging pollutants. Recently, he has investigated the leaching and toxicity of plastic-associated chemicals. He enjoys contributing to the development of new technologies and innovations, especially through 'safer by design' approaches. He has coordinated and participated in many national and international level research projects.
