Declan Devine is the Director of Materials Research Institute at TUS:MM, which consists of ca 80 researchers dedicated to polymer science and engineering. He holds a BEng (2000) and PhD (2006) in polymer engineering. Prior to taking up this role Declan has fulfilled a variety of roles both nationally and internationally, including research roles at the AO Research Institute (CH), hips in both Harvard Medical School and the Mayo Clinic (both USA). His research interests include mechanical and chemical recycling of polymers (BIOICEP.eu), reusable polymer packaging and upcycling of polymer waste.

COST

COST is an EU funding programme that enables researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. We provide funds for organising conferences, meetings, training schools, short scientific exchanges or other networking activities in a wide range of scientific topics. PRIORITY stands for ‘Plastics monitoRIng detectiOn RemedIaTion recoverY’. PRIORITY is a science and technology research network focused on developing, implementing, and consolidating strategies to tackle the global challenges of micro- and nanoplastics in the environment.
