I am an analytical chemist and geochemist by training and apply my knowledge to questions and problems in the fields of environment, nutrition, health and geology. Method development, method validation, and reference material production and certification have always been my core interests, as these tools are essential for high-quality data. ICP-MS and TIMS are the measurement principles of choice. Due to my new development for the investigation of micro- and nanoplastic particles in complex matrices, spectroscopic methods will be the focus of method development in the future.

COST is an EU funding programme that enables researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. We provide funds for organising conferences, meetings, training schools, short scientific exchanges or other networking activities in a wide range of scientific topics. By creating open spaces where people and ideas can grow, we unlock the full potential of science.

PRIORITY

PRIORITY stands for ‘Plastics monitoRIng detectiOn RemedIaTion recoverY’. PRIORITY is a science and technology research network focused on developing, implementing, and consolidating strategies to tackle the global challenges of micro- and nanoplastics in the environment.
